SCHOOL pupils are looking forward to getting to grips with a new climbing wall.
Youngsters at Langley Moor Primary School, near Durham, will be able to scale the heights with the new equipment in the school grounds.
The £4,000 wall was bought for the school by the Parent Teacher Association, which spent two years raising funds.
It was officially opened today (Friday May 10) in a ceremony attended by local bagpiper Dave Carter and Brewster the Bear, mascot of a local Brewers Fayre pub.
PTA chairwoman Abir van Hunen said: “The children are very happy to have it and are looking forward to using it.”
She added that the climbing wall had been on the school's wish-list for about four years.
