The PDSA shop at 120C Front Street, Chester-le-Street, will hold a one-off sale of furniture and electrical goods on Sunday April 14 from 10am to 4pm to raise money to help pay the veterinary bills of people on benefits. For information call Phil Clark on 0191-388 1676.
Gala victory: Woodlea Primary School, Fence Houses, won the County Durham Level 3 School Games Swimming Gala held at Durham’s Freemans Quay Leisure Centre. The school was representing Chester-le-Street after winning the district event.
