TWO WALKS: Durham Ramblers are planning two walks for next week. There will be a nine-mile walk around Barnard Castle and Whorlton on Sunday, November 4, starting at 10.30am at the old post office, on Galgate, Barnard Castle. BIKE STOLEN: A dark green Carrera mountain bike was stolen from the back of a house near Perkinsville food store, near Chester-le-Street, on Wednesday, October 24, at around 5pm. Anyone with information is asked to call Durham Police on 101.
