CRIME CONCERNS: A public meeting for people to discuss concerns about crime is being held at Hamsteels Estate Community Centre, Western Avenue, Esh Winning, on October 31 from 6pm-7pm. The meetings will be attended by a representative from the neighbourhood policing team and will be specific to the area. Individual priorities will be discussed. All members of the community are welcome.
CHARITY EVENT: The Chester-le-Street branch of the fundraising department of St Cuthbert’s Hospice in Durham is holding a charity coffee and lunch day on November 3 from 10am-1.30pm at The Parish Centre on Church Chare in Chester-le-Street. There will be a raffle and the hospice’s Christmas cards will be on sale. Admission is free.
