ROTARIANS and pub regulars have raised £600 for good causes by completing a sponsored walk.
Members of the Durham Elvet Rotary Club living in Brandon Village, near Durham, teamed up with regulars from the village’s The Bay Horse pub to stage a hike around the Durham area.
They raised £600, which was divided equally between Durham’s St Cuthbert’s Hospice and the Aquafilter project, which supplies clean water filters to disaster areas.
Rotarian Tom Sharples said: “It was great to see the locals from the pub and Rotarians enjoying themselves and working together to support such worthy causes.”
Durham Elvet Rotary Club meets at Hallgarth Manor Hotel, near Pittington, each Thursday at 7pm.
