A PENSIONER who is walking almost 8,000 miles to raise awareness of human trafficking victims is stopping off in Darlington on Friday.
The Salvation Army church on Thompson Street will welcome Andy Peddle at 2pm as he continues his mission to visit all 949 Salvation Army centres in the UK as part of the charity’s anti human trafficking campaign.
Mr Peddle, 69, of Downley, Buckinghamshire, started his 7,900-mile journey in the Outer Hebrides in May and hopes to raise £100,000 for the charity’s campaign.
