Darlington have today added two more players to their squad.

Midfielder Clark Keltie has joined the Northern League side while keeper Craig Turns has joined from Spennymoor Town.

Newcastle-born Keltie joins Quakers for the third time in his career. He was with Darlington for the final half of last season and over the summer played in Iceland, though he missed the final weeks of the campaign there due to a hamstring injury.

The 29-year-old has now fully recovered and is in contention to play on Saturday against Bedlington Terriers at Heritage Park.

Turns was Spennymoor's keeper during their three consecutive title-winning seasons, but has lost his place this season.

He has previously been in the youth system at Sunderland where he was coached by Tony Norman, who is now Quakers' goalkeeping coach.

Turns will provide competition for Jack Norton who has played every game of the season so far, which has seen Darlington win 14 of their 15 league games.

But reserve keeper Chris Porter has left Quakers and joined Bishop Auckland who have lost a number of goalkeepers recently due to injury.

Porter made only one appearance this season, in the Durham Challenge Cup at Hebburn, when Darlington lost 3-0 and the keeper was sent off early on.
