SNAKES, lizards, tarantulas, cockroaches and giant snails are just some of the creepy creatures set to take over a shopping centre this Halloween.
The Scary Zoo will visit the Cornmill Shopping Centre, in Darlington, on Tuesday, October 30, to give shoppers the chance to get up close and personal with some of nature’s most dreaded creatures. The Halloween-themed day will include the chance to feed some of the exotic creatures - under professional supervision - and take part in beetle racing and question and answer sessions with the zoo’s fully-trained handlers.
Susan Young, Cornmill centre manager, said: “The Scary Zoo event will offer thrilling entertainment for all of the family. As well as being scary, creepy and thoroughly entertaining, there’s also an educational aspect to the event and visitors will have the chance to learn about important issues such as conservation.”
The Scary Zoo will be in the lower atrium of the Cornmill Shopping Centre between 10am and 4pm on Tuesday, October 30.
