DARLINGTON Civic Theatre has been included in a touring company’s successful bid for £1m of funding.
The Touring Consortium Theatre Company has been awarded the money from the Arts Council England Strategic Touring Programme to fund a three-year, large scale touring programme that will include Darlington Theatre.
The Consortium was formed 17-years-ago to deliver drama and integrated education programmes to a circuit of seven regional theatres.
Darlington was one of the original seven and will be included in the new five-show tour which will be announced in 2013.
