SHOW CANCELLED: A concert of military music, which had been due to be held at Bradford Armoury, in Neasham Road, Darlington, at 7.30pm on Tuesday, has been cancelled. The band had been unable to rehearse at the centre last Tuesday, at the height of the flooding.
LECTURE NIGHT: Nicholas Merchant will give a talk on the private palaces of the Cote d’Azur at a meeting of Darlington Lecture Association, on Monday, October 8, at 7.45pm, at Carmel RC Academy, in Darlington. The talk by this Smithsonian lecturer on great houses follows the annual president's reception, at 7pm.
