DOG lovers took part in a 3km sponsored walk, raising hundreds of pounds for charity.
Preston Hall Park, near Stockton, was the venue for the Dogs Trust Darlington event on Sunday, September 23.
More than 50 pet owners completed the walk, raising £650 for the Sadberge -based charity.
There was also a dog agility course and, entertainment and a best-dressed dog competition.
Sue Embleton rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Darlington, said: “We’re thrilled that so many two-legged and four-legged friends supported. North Eastern dog-lovers really did us proud.
“Events like this are essential to increase awareness of the work of Dogs Trust.
“They also raise much needed funds to help us continue to care for as many dogs as possible.
So we’d like to say a huge thank you to all who came along or sponsored a walker and to the mayor of Stockton for making us her chosen charity.”
Dogs Trust Darlington cares for about 120 abandoned and unwanted dogs at any one time.
