DARLINGTON Bee Keeping Association is holding a honey show and fair to celebrate receiving £7,000 from the Lottery.
The show will take place at Brafferton Village Hall on October 4 from 7pm and will see a selection of stalls and honey on display.
The Association, which only formed in January last year, already boasts around 60 members and will use the Lottery money to fund a project educating people on the importance of bees.
Association members have already visited some Darlington schools to teach children about bees and bee keeping and they hope to visit more across the town, as well as taking their lessons to local prisons and young offenders institutes.
