Goalkeeper Jack Norton is ready to return to the Darlington line-up for Saturday's trip to Dunston.
Along with seven of his team-mates, Norton was rested for Tuesday's Durham Challenge Cup tie at Hebburn Town, with manager Martin Gray explaining that Norton has had a knee injury.
"Jack's ready to go again," said Gray. "He's had treatment and he's one of those that have had a chance to rest after picking up a knock.
"The lads have been carrying a few knocks so this week has been a good chance to recharge the batteries.
"He's had a sore knee since the home game with Dunston, when their player went through and smashed him. So he's had the injury for a month and he needed a free week so that he could rest and get some intensive treatment.
"He's getting something done that will hopefully mask the pain."
In Norton's absence Chris Porter made his first appearance of the season at Hebburn, but the back-up keeper was shown a red card, however, he will be available on Saturday.
His one-match suspension is due to start 21 days after the day of the offence, so he is expected to miss the home game with South Shields on October 10.
At Dunston, Quakers will be without David Dowson (groin) and Arjun Purewal (ankle) who both sustained injuries last weekend.
Gray said: "Neither will be available for Saturday, they could be out for a week or two minimum."
