AN alcoholic sold cannabis to a man outside a town centre pub.
Anthony James Howard, 52, of Westmoreland Street, Darlington, pleaded guilty to one charge of supply of the class B drug and one of possession of cannabis when he appeared before the town's magistrates.
Blair Martin, prosecuting, told the court Howard was arrested the Boot and Shoe pub, in Darlington, more pieces of cannabis resin were found on him wrapped in cling film.
Howard was given a 12month conditional discharge.
Graham Hunsley, mitigating, said he was undergoing treatment for alcohol addiction.
