A VOLUNTARY organisation is making a final appeal for people to help with an annual campaign.

Darlington eVOLution is collecting donations for hampers which it is handing out to older people for this year's Make A Difference Day, a campaign which focuses on combating loneliness and isolation in society.

The group is urging people to donate items such as marmalade, jam, biscuits, tea, coffee and other nonperishables. Items should be taken to the eVOLution offices in Church Row, today.

Alternatively, collection points around Darlington can take donations until Wednesday. For more information, or to organise a collection, contact Lynn Walton on 01325-266888.
