A CAMPAIGN to reduce the speed limit on roads across Darlington is to be discussed by councillors.
Darlington Borough Council's place scrutiny committee will tomorrow hear an update on proposals that could lead to a 20mph speed limit introduced across most residential roads in the town.
The campaign group 20's Plenty for Darlington wants to see a 20mph limit, but without traffic calming measures such as speed bumps, on all residential roads except key arterial routes such as Woodland Road, North Road and Yarm Road.
Councillors will tomorrow discuss the findings of a task and review group set up to examine the proposal.
