SEVEN bicycles were stolen from across Darlington over the weekend.
Police received reports of bicycles taken from sheds, a garage and from outside shops.
On Saturday morning, a black Apollo which had been chained to a front garden fence in the town centre, was stolen.
Police also said a Felt Q920 mountain bike was taken after a shed in Middleton St George was broken into. The following day two children's bikes and an adult bike were taken from a shed in Cockerton West after the hinges were removed.
On Sunday, a silver Dyno BMX bicycle was taken from outside a row of shops in Faverdale and various items including a mountain bike stolen from an insecure garage in Haughton.
Police are advising people to buy sheds with the hinges on the inside to prevent potential thefts.
