A VOLUNTARY group is urging people to donate items for hampers to be handed out to elderly people during this year's Make A Difference Day.
The theme of the campaign this year is to focus on combating loneliness and isolation in society. Darlington eVOLution will be helped by Darlington College and the town branch of Barclays Branch.
It is urging people to donate items such as marmalade, jam, biscuits, tea, coffee or any other nonperishable groceries.
Items can be taken to the eVOLution offices in Church Row, Darlington, before November 7.
For more information or to organise a collection, contact Lynn Walton on 01325-266888.
