YOUNGSTERS across Darlington are invited to have their say on a draft plan for children's services.
A consultation event on the Children and Young People's Plan for 2011 to 2014 will be held in the Dolphin Centre, Darlington, on Tuesday, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
The plan proposes how the council and its partners will integrate provision to improve wellbeing across all five Every Child Matters (ECM) outcomes and focuses on specific challenges and priorities.
Nearly 400 children and young people took part in workshops and sessions earlier this year to share their views on services in Darlington. Their feedback has been included in the draft plan.
Councillor Cyndi Hughes, cabinet member for children and young people, said: "The views of our younger residents really are vitally important inmaking sure the young people's plan 2011 to 2014 delivers what young people need to ensure they receive the right support and guidance to enjoy a prosperous future in Darlington."
The draft plan is available on darlington.gov.uk. Feedback can also be submitted by emailing melanie.brown@darlington.gov.uk
