MAN-MADE artwork will feature at an event that will celebrate natural beauty this weekend.
The flower festival at St Cuthbert with St Mary's Church, in Barton, will also include displays of embroidery.
Five members of the Richmond and Leyburn branch of the Embroiderers' Guild, including three from Barton, have submitted work.
The display will feature modern and old work and include a range of styles and designs.
Organiser Christine Flowers said: "I want it to be a village event bringing together different groups with a common aim, and I would like visitors to go away feeling richer for the experience.
"They might even be encouraged to try embroidery for themselves.
I hope the village people will be proud of their church as it tries to reach out to everyone."
The event will also feature a display made for the centenary of the Embroiderers' Guild in 2006.
The display, called A Window on the Dales, was seen on BBC Look North.
Work by former Northern Echo reporter Jill Neill, who died from ovarian cancer in October 2008, will also be included.
The flower displays are being sponsored by village groups and businesses.
One exhibit will be created by children from Barton School.
The church will be open from 10am to 5pm today and from 1pm to 5pm tomorrow, with refreshments available.
A songs of praise service will take place at 11am tomorrow.
