WITH Wimbledon fortnight well-underway an animal charity is looking for local dog lovers to help find a home for a tennis obsessed dog.
Dogs Trust Darlington is looking for new owneers for six-year-old Collie cross Lass.
Lass needs an active, adult home with owners who love tennis as much as she does.
The playful pooch could happily spend all day chasing after tennis balls and would make the perfect Wimbledon ball girl.
Clare Hopps, Dogs Trust Darlington Supporter Relations Officer said: "Lass is a fun, mischievous character who loves to show off with a tennis ball .
A typical Collie she is bright as a button and always on the move so will need an energetic owner with a strong throw to keep her entertained.
This agile girl would be best suited to an experienced adult home and could live with a male dog.
Ms Hopps added: "We have plenty of other dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes looking to win their perfect match so if you are looking for a buddy to play ball or just a loyal friend to curl up on the sofa with we may just have the dog for you."
Dogs Trust Darlington cares for around 120 abandoned and unwanted dogs at any one time.
