A Darlington school have been awarded two bikes after winning a cycling competition.
The bikes were won by Firthmoor Primary School, as part of the national Big Pedal national competition.
The competition, which is organised by sustainable transport charity Sustrans and funded by the bicycle industry, aimed to get more people cycling into school.
Firthmoor won the Darlington category of the competition, winning the two bikes.
The bikes were presented to the school by Sustrans Bike It officer, Kevin Kilcullen.
Sustrans has worked with the school since 2009 and Mr Kilccullen works with the school, teachers, pupils and parents to encourage children to get to school without using cars.
Back in 2009 there were only around 15 children regularly cycling to school, now the school regularly sees between 40 and 60 children regularly cycling each week.
Mr Kilcullen said: "It has been really impressive to see how Firthmoor has increased the number of children cycling to school.
"This helped to create a real community spirit during the Big Pedal competition by getting families cycling and has also helped to reduce congestion around the school gates.
"It has really helped families to see the positive health benefits that cycling gives them."
