MODEL pupils strutted their stuff on the catwalk at an event designed to get them ready for their end-of-school prom.
Year 11 students from the Education Village, in Darlington, were given style makeovers in preparation for the summer ball at an event which gave students the chance to see what was on offer for their big night. Organised by head of vocational studies Caroline Larsson, the preparation event, designed as a stress-reliving treat during exams, saw pupils modelling the latest in evening and designer dresses from local retailers.
A host of experts were also on hand from hair and beauty salons to give tips on hair and makeup for the big night.
For the boys, a selection of evening wear was on display along with chauffer driven services.
Even the teachers were getting in on the act and at the end of the evening hair, makeup and dresses were all paraded on the catwalk.
Kelsey McDowell, 15, of Darlington, said: "It's brilliant to be able to try different dresses on and find out how we can do our make up and hair; it's exciting, I've really enjoyed it."
The Education Village's prom will take place on Wednesday July 6 at Walworth Castle, Darlington.
