A NURSERY has been given a good rating in a Government inspection.
Ofsted rated Little People Montessori Centre, in Darlington, as good following a one-day visit in April.
Inspector Donna Lancaster also praised staff and management in her report.
In her report, she said: "The staff and management of the nursery provide an inclusive service which is caring, friendly and welcoming to children and parents alike."
She added: "Staff have a thorough knowledge and understanding of each child's individual needs and promote all aspects of children's welfare very effectively. There is a strong and positive partnership with parents."
Recommendations for further improvements included making provisions for babies to develop physical skills including standing and walking, developing the indoor area and individual planning.
The nursery runs from Darlington Memorial Hospital. It has room for 24 children aged eight and under and offers care to children with learning difficulties or disabilities and those who speak English as an additional language.
