POLICE believe two attempted break-ins at Darlington factories could be related.
Officers are asking anyone who has any information about the attempted burglaries to get in touch.
The first break-in took place at animal feed manufacturer CM Varley and Co at Red Barnes Way sometime between May 6 and May 13.
The second incident was at S&P joinery at Silver Place in Darlington overnight on Thursday, May 12.
On both occasions, the would-be thieves tried to access the premises from the roof.
As a result, police believe there may be a connection between the crimes.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of the offences but were subsequently released following questioning.
Anyone who has any information or any witnesses are asked to contact Darlington CID on 0345-6060-365.
