CHRIS Senior claimed a dramatic last-gasp winner as Darlington won the FA Trophy final at Wembley.

Senior headed home the only goal of the game in the final minute of extra-time as Quakers beat Mansfield 1-0.

It looked as though penalties were inevitable as Aaron Brown launched a long throw into the Mansfield penalty area in the 120th minute.

But after Tommy Wright's header looped off the top of the crossbar, substitute Senior was on hand to head home from two yards out.

The goal was scored at the end housing around 10,000 Darlington supporters, who immediately went delirious.

The goal was no more than Quakers deserved, as they had already hit the woodwork twice, first through Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and then through Liam Hatch.

Louis Briscoe wasted Mansfield’s best effort when he headed over from six yards on the stroke of half-time while Marc-Bridge Wilkinson’s free-kick rattled the bar in the final minute for Darlington before Senior met Aaron Brown’s long-throw with seconds remaining.
