STAFF at companies on a Darlington business park have been given a hand to beat the January blues.
Lingfield Point business park held a health day called Beat the Blues where staff were given the chance to try out new activities in a bid to stave off seasonal glumness.
The staff were given health checks and also health professionals from Darlington Borough Council and the NHS were on hand to offer advice and information about keeping fit and healthy and giving up smoking.
Activities on offer also included Nordic Walking and Zumba - a latin American dance fitness programme.
The fitness bug, which will become a permanent feature at the Beehive at Lingfield Point was also unveiled.
The bug allows customers at Lingfield Point the chance to monitor their weight, body mass index, pulse and heart rate.
