Paul Arnison has been axed from the Darlington line-up for this evening’s game with Mansfield Town.
The right-back is the only absentee from the XI which drew 1-1 at Tamworth on Saturday, manager Mark Cooper instead hands his place to recent signing Greg Taylor.
After three months out of the side the 33-year-old returned to favour on January 3 since when Darlington have not lost any of their five games, winning three, while Arnison twice found the back of the net.
Those goals came in the consecutive games at The Northern Echo Arena last week, in wins over Histon and Bath, but this evening he is on the bench with Taylor instead selected.
Taylor, who came off the bench at Tamworth midway through the second half, was brought to the club earlier this month from Kettering where he previously played under Cooper.
Striker Tommy Wright has lost his appeal against the red card he was shown on Saturday at Tamworth so is not on the bench this evening.
Darlington (4-1-2-1-2): Russell; Taylor, Miller, Quinn, Brown; Chandler; Verma, G Smith; Bridge-Wilkinson; Hatch, Modest.
Referee: Sebastian Stocksbridge (Gateshead)
