A 21ST birthday is usually a day of wild celebrations. For Greg Taylor, it will be spent sitting in the stands watching the FA Trophy clash with Bath City.

Taylor is cup-tied after playing for Kettering Town in their defeat to Chasetown in the first round, but there is only one thing he’s disappointed about missing.

In an interview with the club’s matchday programme Quakers today, he says: “It would have been great to play in the trophy.

“I know the club want to try to go all the way and I would like to have been involved in that.

“It would have been nice to be playing on my birthday as well but it’s not to be, that’s football. It can be very frustrating.”
