Greg Taylor comes into the side for his Darlington debut this evening at home to Histon, but there is no Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.
The attack-minded midfielder, who has been mulling over an 18-month contract offer, was on loan at The Northern Echo Arena.
But his temporary switch from Carlisle Uniuted ended after Saturday's 0-0 draw with AFC Wimbledon.
Taylor, who can operate in defence or midfield, makes his first appearance after joining last week from Kettering Town where he played under current Quakers boss Mark Cooper.
Tommy Wright earns a recall with Curtis Main dropping to the bench following his poor showing in front of goal on Saturday.
Darlington are hoping for a home win to lift them from 12th in the table against Histon who are bottom and last week had five points deducted.
