OLDHAM ATHLETIC have parted company with former Darlington boss Dave Penney following the club's dismal League One campaign.
The Latics were tipped for a play-off spot at the start of the season, but they lie just four points above the League One relegation zone.
Injuries hit Penney's squad throughout the campaign and prevented the former Darlington and Doncaster boss building any kind of momentum.
But although Oldham are safe from the drop, Penney was dismissed from Boundary Park with one game of the season still remaining.
