HEALTH professionals helped students at a village school learn more about healthy lifestyles.
Nineteen students from Hurworth School Maths and Computing College took part in a health and fitness presentation, which showed them the importance of personal well-being.
The workshop was conducted by staff from Bannatyne's Health Club, in Darlington, who also showed the students round their Haughton Road base.
The day was organised by Hurworth's PE tutor Jill Easton, who wanted to find a way to highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
"I wanted to impress on them the importance of both mental and physical fitness," she said.
"The visit to Bannatyne's helped them understand how one definitely complements the other."
