Darlington'S League Two match at Cheltenham this afternoon has been postponed due to a frozen pich.
The decision by referee Keith Stroud was made after three pitch inspections, at 9am, noon and 1pm.
Following overnight temperatures of -7c, a section of the pitch along one side of the playing surface remained very firm and dangerous to play on.
Darlington's players and staff travelled yesterday but as the pitch was clearly unplayable they had few complaints about the postponement, though their supporters will feel aggrieved due to Stroud's late decision.
The postponement is Quakers' seventh of the season.
A date for the rearranged game has yet to be announced.
