A SCHOOL has become one of three in the UK to be rewarded for using computers to help pupils learn in all subjects.
Cockerton Church of England Primary School has been awarded ambassador school status by Espresso - the provider of a digital library of resources for teachers and pupils.
The system provides pupils and teachers across the school with access to information to help with subjects on the national curriculum.
It includes videos, a news service, ideas for assemblies, worksheets as well as activities and quizzes for pupils.
It also gives them the chance to share their work with other children across the country.
All primary schools in Darlington have access to the system and as an ambassador Cockerton Primary will now host demonstrations for other schools in the area and help train teachers who want to get the most out of the technology.
ITC teacher Samantha Lenaitre said: "It is a great achievement for all the hard work we have done and we are very proud we have been awarded it."
