THE Conservative party candidate in Darlington for this year's General Election will hold an open session with residents next week.
Edward Legard, who was chosen to represent the Tories in 2008, will hold a question and answer session on Wednesday, Jan 27, at 7pm.
The event is open for anyone from the town to come and question Mr Legard on any issues.
Mr Legard, 43, was born in Hurworth, near Darlington, and lives in North Yorkshire. He is a barrister specialising in employment law and serves on Thirsk and Malton district council.
Mr Legard will stand against Jenny Chapman (Labour), Mike Barker (Liberal Democrats), Charlotte Bull (UK Independence Party) and John Hoodless (British National Party) in the seat.
