Darlington are offering fans the chance to vote for the club’s new home and away kits for next season.
The Quakers are giving supporters the chance to choose their favourite designs from two options for each strip.
Both home designs incorporate the club’s traditional black and white hoops, and there’s two striking away designs, a sky blue and white hooped shirt, and an all red strip.
Supporters can vote for the kit in three different ways – by post, email and text – but they have less than three weeks to have their say.
All voters will be entered into a free prize draw, with a trip to Italy to see the new kits being produced as the top prize.
Managing director Graham Fordy said: “Everything last summer was done at the last minute and Errea had to quickly produce our shirts from existing stock, which is why we had to make a quick decision to go with the designs.
“We value feedback and the best way of producing a popular kit design is by giving the fans their chance to vote.
“A number of shortlisted designs have been narrowed down by the manager.
We’re confident this will be a popular system and we look forward to receiving the votes.’’ Fans can vote for their favourite designs in the following ways:
E-MAIL: E-mail “HOME KIT A/B (inserting your choice) and AWAY KIT A/B, plus your name and age”, to: kit.vote@darlington-fc.net
TEXT: Text “HOME KIT A/B (inserting your choice) and AWAY KIT A/B, followed by your name, age and email address”, to: 07916 618820
POST: Select your favourite designs and send – with your contact details – to Kit Vote, Darlington FC, The Northern Echo Arena, Neasham Road, Darlington DL2 1DL.
First prize is a trip to Italy (terms and conditions apply), which includes a visit to Errea, Darlington’s kit manufacturers, plus two season tickets and a signed framed shirt.
Second prize is two season tickets and a signed framed shirt, and third prize is a signed framed shirt. There are also 10 pairs of tickets for the opening game of the 2010-11 season as runners-up prizes.
The deadline for voting is close of play Friday, January 29 – winning designs revealed next month.
