VILLAGERS will be able to put forward their views about a proposed wind farm at a special parish council meeting next month.
Sadberge Parish Council has decided to hold a full open public meeting on December 1 to discuss plans for ten turbines at Moor House Farm, near the village.
Banks Developments' plans for the wind farm to the north-east of Darlington was submitted in October more than a year after the firm first announced proposals.
Sadberge Parish Council has expressed concerns about the farm and others near the village since plans first emerged.
As a result, councillors have decided to allow villagers to put forward their views at a full meeting.
The parish council's decision on the application will be sent to the borough council's planning department.
The wind farm, on agricultural land near Barmpton, will include four turbines of 110m and six at 100m high.
There will also be a mast to monitor wind speeds and the effectiveness of the farm.
Access roads, crane points, a control building and temporary construction cabin are also planned.
Banks Developments said the farm would produce enough energy for a quarter of the town's homes, equivalent to 11,000 to 14,000.
The application is expected to be discussed early in the new year.
Sadberge Parish Council's open meeting takes place in Sadberge Village Hall on December 1 at 6.30pm.
