A TEENAGER who stole a poppy collection box two days before Remembrance Day services is being sought by police.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident which happened in Darlington's Crown Street Library on Friday, November 6.
Police said between 11.45am and 11.50am, a Royal British Legion poppy collection box was stolen from the counter at the library.
They said the suspect was described as 17-years-old and having short hair.
He was wearing dark jogging bottoms with a white stripe on, with socks over the bottoms. It is also believed he was wearing a scarf around his neck.
