A RESEARCHER is making a public appeal for help to find out more about men from Darlington who fought their country in the First World War.
Stephen Nicholson will lead a talk called Researching Darlington's Men of World War I - A Work In Progress on the eve of Remembrance Sunday.
The event is on Saturday, at 2pm, in the Centre for Local Studies at the town’s Crown Street Library.

He will talk about his research, including the difficulties he has experienced.
The event is open to the public, who will have an opportunity to share information about relatives or others from Darlington who fought in the war.
Tickets, £2, must be booked in advance, and are available from Crown Street Library or by calling 01325-349630.
