AN extra £50,000 has been made available for local retailers in Darlington through a Home Office scheme The Partnership Grant offers groups of local retailers the opportunity to bid for a share of funding to be used for capital expenditure projects designed to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
The funding can be spent on anything from CCTV and lighting, to alarms and street landscaping.
Shopkeepers, local authorities, the police and other statutory bodes can also apply.
The new £50,000 grant follows an earlier award of £100,000.
Retailers in Darlington now have until 12pm on Friday November 6 to apply for a grant under the Partnership Grant fund.
