STUDENTS were in the pink when they dressed up and took part in a host of activities to raise hundreds of pounds for a cancer charity.
Darlington College staff and pupils held a pink-themed day combined with Halloween hauntings for Breast Cancer Research.
They put on a host of activities and many dressed up in different pink costumes and hope to raise hundreds of pounds.
Director of services Nicola James was abducted for the day by social care students who carried her away to their lessons and break-times in pink fluffy handcuffs.
Ms James said: "It was interesting experiencing life as a student for the day complete with key skills lessons and chips and gravy for lunch."
The students also set up fundraising stalls challenging people to guess the number of sweets in a jar and name a teddy.
TV and film student Charles Jessop had a hair raising and removing experience in the salon as his dense locks and bushy beard were completely removed by clipper-mad tutors.
Across the corridor in the beauty salon willing victims endured ghoulish treatments including detoxifying slime, while out in central point they also set up novelty nail stalls.
The college-wide event came ahead of the national Pink Awareness day which aims to raise funds for research into breast cancer.
