YOUNG drivers were given an early chance to get behind the wheel during a school day to prepare them for life ahead.
Hurworth School held a Preparing for Life Day for its year 10 students with a range of events.
Pupils were able to take driving tuition lessons as part of the day. Other lessons included those in health and fitness, hairdressing, cooking, peer pressure, alcohol awareness, money management and sexual health.
