A HOUSING specialist has been appointed by Darlington Citizens Advice Bureau to help people through the recession.
Steven Pells will help people with a range of difficulties including homelessness.
Advice service manager Neeraj Sharma said: "The appointment of a housing caseworker is a first for Darlington, as we will be able to extend the eviction possession representation by now seeing clients who are dealing with complaints about disrepair, anti-social behaviour, local authority housing and homelessness.
Most importantly we will be able to see them regardless of their means and without charging them a fee."
An employment law specialist will be appointed in the near future.
The bureau in Darlington Market Square can be contacted on 01325-256999 ext 104 (reception) and is open for appointments Monday to Saturday.
