A PUB is exclusively selling a special beer as part of an autumn ale festival.
Worthington's White Shield is on sale at The Tawny Owl Vintage Inn, in Middleton St George, during its Autumn Cask Ale Festival.
Pub landlord James Gordon said: "The brewery team at Worthington's cancelled their summer holidays to produce this hallowed brew in cask, so we really are privileged.
"Real ale enthusiasts will be queuing up to sample this one, but even those who have never tried cask conditioned ale before should try it because it really is a taste sensation to behold.
"I'm very passionate about real ale and this great British tradition, so our regular and guest beers are always carefully conditioned in our cellars, but I've been paying extra special attention to this holy grails of ales."
White Shield, a 5.6 per cent beer, is described as aromatic with hints of smoke and spice.
The festival has coincided with the launch of a new seasonal menu. It runs until November 15.
