A THIEF who stole a crate of lager from an off-licence shop is being sought by police.
Police have this week released an appeal in connection with an incident that happened at the start of last month.
It happened at 5.50pm on Wednesday, September 2, at Simply Food and Drinks, in Geneva Road, Firthmoor, Darlington.
Police said that a man walked into the shop, and while staff were distracted, he picked up a crate of lager and left the shop with paying.
The offender is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, thin build with receding hair. He spoke with a local accent.
