A HOSPICE hopes more money will be raised for the charity this year at an annual fair after moving the event.

St Teresa's Hospice has replaced its annual Funday Sunday event for The Saturday Fair, which takes place this weekend.

Saturday's event from 10.30am to 2.30pm will be held in Darlington market place.

David Jones, hospice fundraising manager, said: "The event has been a success in the past, but theres always room for improvement and we hope the change to a Saturday will mean even more people can enjoy the day out."

Activities will include a funhouse, teacup rides, an Elvis Presley impersonator, face painting and stalls. Music will be provided by Shildon Jubilee Jazz Band. Darlington Boxing and Martial Arts Academy will also provide a demonstration.

All money raised will go to Darlington's St Teresa's Hospice, which provides care for people with terminal illnesses and offers support to their carers and families.
