A BRIGHT green dinosaur will roar into action at this weekend's town carnival.
The model dinosaur will form part of artwork and costumes, which will also include Victorian costumes and penny farthings, at Saturday's community carnival parade.
Students from Darlington College have been putting the finishing touches to the pieces for the parade.
The parade, from Vane Terrace to Stanhope Park, starting at 12noon, will involve people of all ages dressed in costumes, carrying structures and musicians.
The theme of this year's carnival is past, present and future, with the large art pieces also including an alien.
