CHILDREN with disabilities and their families will be able to put their thoughts to key officers at a family fun day.
Education and health professionals will be at a family fun day to be held at Elm Ridge Methodist Church, Darlington, next month.
Parents and carers of children with disabilities will be able to tell officers how activities and services could be improved in Darlington.
The day will also include a free buffet lunch, children's game, information stands and advice from various organisations. People will also be able to book private advice sessions.
Organisations attending will include the council's disabled childrens team, Parent Partnership, Connexions, Sportsability and Welfare Rights.
The event is being organised by Carers for Darlington's Children with Disabilities group, with Darlington Association on Disability (DAD) and the council's children's services.
The event happens on Saturday, July 27, from 10am to 2pm. Places are free but must be booked in advance. For more details contact 01325-489999 or e-mail jacki@darlingtondisability.org.
