A PARISH council has decided it is no longer able to share its litter picker with a neighbouring village.
Middleton St George Parish Council is to write to Low Dinsdale Parish Council to say that the village litterpicker can no longer do duties in both parishes.
Low Dinsdale Parish Council paid Middleton St George Parish Council a small sum of money each month so their litter picker to spend some time Low Dinsdale.
At the time Middleton St George had two litter pickers.
However, one has since resigned.
At the latest meeting of Middleton St George Parish Council members heard that the remaining litter picker did not have enough time to visit Low Dinsdale as well as conduct his regular duties.
The council chairwoman, Coun Doris Jones, said: "We shall write and say we'd love to be able to help them when we have two litter pickers."
