ARTS students held an end of year exhibition to show off work inspired by their personal interests.
Art Foundation students at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, in Darlington, produced the display called Inspire.
The 31 students, who are in their final year before taking a degree, took coursework in subjects on fine art, graphic design and illustration, textiles and fashion, photography, animation and computer games, costume and landscape architecture.
The students' work included large-scale canvases done by Angus Morton, who was inspired by a trip to an Indian orphanage, and Anna Ridley's work reflecting nuclear warfare and its impact on victims.
Rita Smith, director of studies for creative arts said: "It was a colourful exhibition which showcased the work of all the students.
"There was much to interest visitors with projects carried out across a variety of art and design disciplines.
"The show celebrated each student's achievement before they progress to degree courses across the country."
